We are updating our information and guidance on the Xiaomi Waterproof scooter. Due to an error in the waterproofing process of a small number of units, we would strongly recommend that these products are now not ridden in the rain and would advice that you follow the same guidance as a normal Xiaomi.
“Although the E-Scooter is water resistant to a certain degree, is the E-Scooter has a certification according to IP54. However, we recommend to not drive the E-Scooter on rainy days, bad weather, snow or in general on wet surfaces due to the nature of the vehicle. Please follow as well the safety instructions in the manual.”
Is my Xiaomi scooter no longer waterproof?
