The 250-watt motor is based in the rear hub, while the battery sits neatly in the downtube - making this bike look more like a traditional road bike than an e-bike. But call upon the power of the motor when you need it, and you'll get all the help you want to better enjoy steep climbs or long false-flats.

Orbea uses a Mahle Ebikemotion power system on this Gain D50 to ensure the ride is enhanced and not dominated by the motor. When not in use, the motor disengages, allowing the bike to feel like a regular endurance road bike. The display unit sits out in front of the rider, so you can easily see how much power you are using and how much is left in the tank. That same unit houses an integrated front light, and the seat post has an integrated rear light, combining to offer some really slick finishing touches.
