RS or "Rider Synergy" is a newly developed rider experience concept aimed at enhancing the joy of traditional trail riding with a level of support and assistance designed to feel as "alive as your own body". The video to the right is a fantastic watch, highlighting the purest Spanish passion that went into the 2022 Rise H30 concept.
The new Rise Alloy framed range of eBikes for 2022 is designed to be effortlessly minimalist, using no bulky or unnecessary components while bringing you closer to the trail and ride—a completely integrated system built on their four key elements of Power, Range, Interface and Weight.
Armed with the well-thought-out concept and the dream of a "rider first" super-light all-trail frame that delivers less "e" and more "Bike" to change the eMTB landscape dramatically, Orbea gained early access to the Shimano EP8 drive system and immediately realised it was the perfect solution to fit with their newly formed "RS" riding philosophy for the Rise range. Working directly alongside Shimano, Orbea has developed its own highly responsive and super-efficient RS firmware for the EP8 to make the best use of their newly designed electronics and battery system.
Weighing in at only 2.6KG and utilising their proprietary software and electronics, the drive system delivers its peak output of 60Nm at cadences of 75-95rpm - right where experienced riders are at their peak power and efficiency.
