Pure Air 2nd Gen
The original Pure Air – the best budget electric scooter last year – was pretty much the ultimate package, so it’s not surprising that Pure Electric has instead decided to add a few tweaks, rather than completely reinventing the wheel. The biggest change comes from within, since last year’s 250W motor is now replaced by a significantly more powerful 500W unit. The scooter has a larger 36V Li-ion battery as well, which, according to Pure Electric, has increased the charging time to five-and-a-half hours from empty.
The new 500W motor delivers responsive acceleration and superior hill climbing ability, so you can cruise up slopes without breaking a sweat. Its waterproof design comes equipped with a powerful 500W motor as well as having a higher battery capacity than Pure's previous model to ensure long lasting mobility for all conditions. Pure has also added Bluetooth integration from the get-go, which was a feature that only made its way to last year’s model a few months after release. A standard USB-A charging port can now be found on the scooter handlebar, too, which can be used to charge your smartphone while on the go. Overall, this is a powerful, intelligent electric scooter that is definitely worth the upgrade.
